There are only 38 fish species are identified under 8 fish orders belongs to 17 families at the time of survey. There are 9 threatened fish species were detected under 4 orders. Fish production of this baor mainly depends on the exotic and native carp species so these types of fishes are available here. A critically endangered fish species Labeo boga was recorded. It is renowned that the catch rate of Gudusia chapra is very rare. The over all status of fish diversity of indigenous fish species is not satisfactory in Bookbhara Baor.
