Harvesting of SISF was mainly done by using 11 types of fishing nets, 4 types of fishing traps and 2 types of hooks in the beel. 3 levels of marketing system or markets (i.e. primary, secondary and retail markets) of fresh  SISF were observed which were completely dominated by privet sector. The most important and large SISF landing centers were Singra, Atrai, Mohishluti, Bhangura and Chatmohor fish landing centers. The highest retailer price was recorded 350 Tk./kg for Boali pabda (Ompok bimaculatus) whereas the lowest retail price was found as 14 Tk./kg for Lal chanda (Parambassis lala).
